The Case for Concerts

Updated: Feb 10, 2020

By Gabby Yanniello

I remember my first concert like it was yesterday. It was Jake Miller’s Dazed and Confused tour. I was 15 years old and I went with my twin sister. We waited in line for 3 hours in the middle of June, the venue was packed wall to wall and, to top it all off, the venue didn't have air conditioning. However, I wouldn't change this experience for the world.

This experience introduced me to a whole new world that I probably wouldn't have gotten to experience if I didn't let my sister convinced me to go. Since my sister convinced me to go to my first concert and is now my forever concert buddy, I want to be that person for you and try to convince you to buy that concert ticket you have been hesitant to buy for whatever reason!

1. Concerts are a place where you can truly be yourself. You are surrounded by people who may be the complete opposite of you, but you all share one thing in common - the artist you are there to see. Every single person in that venue just wants to experience their favorite artist live and have fun!

2. The memories will last a lifetime. Although concerts only lasts for a few hours, you will remember every single moment like it was yesterday.

3. The atmosphere. The atmosphere of a concert is like nothing else you'll ever experience! You can feel the excitement and anticipation radiate off of the crowd.

4. The feeling of finally hearing the artist live. This feeling is indescribable, but quite possibly might be one of the best feelings you will ever have. You are in awe because, after listening to them for however long through your earbuds, you finally get to hear them in person.
