Hi, my name’s Lexi Caccese. I graduated from Slippery Rock University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication-Public Relations in 2016 and received my Masters in Professional Studies degree in Fashion Marketing from LIM College in 2017.

At SRU, I interned my summer of junior year at Red Light PR in New York City. As a graduate student, I worked as a stylist/customer experience intern at Moda Operandi, and a social media/marketing intern at sterling silver jewelry company, Cynthia Gale New York. Since I’ve graduated from LIM College, I’ve worked as a Sales Rep and Social Media Associate at Posh Showroom in Downtown LA.

Co-founder, Danielle Wetzel and I created CDR to gain the fashion industry experience that we were looking for but could not find at SRU. We also wanted to create a new expressive outlet for the communication department and campus as a whole. Now, with the support of both past and current CDR members, College Dress Relief has been able to move forward with new and fresh ideas.

I’m so proud of the entire CDR team. THIS WOULD NOT EXIST TODAY IF IT WASN’T FOR ALL OF YOU. Thank you all at SRU for being a part of this organization in any little way you have - Instagram follower, contest contender, etc.! I have had the pleasure of working with the most professional and creative people through CDR, especially with Mariah Ricci and Brooke Henderson. These two are the real reason why CDR is where it is today.

I’m just so glad to have helped create a space where the SRU campus can get involved with fashion and learn how to apply their professional skill sets to its industry - from photography, writing, videography, social media, event planning, and so on. There’s not a lot of access to fashion here at SRU, but Danielle and I really wanted to change that and do it in a way that makes sense for the campus community.

Thank you all,

Lexi Caccese
