DIY Charm Bracelet

By Jocelynn Phillips

Do you like to spice up your outfits with jewelry? Me and you both. Personally, I think adding some necklaces, bracelets or rings to an outfit can really push it to the next level! Lately, I have been in a rut with my accessories, and I don’t want to spend a fortune on new jewelry. So, I decided to make my own.

You should be able to get supplies at any kind of craft store. I got mine at Michaels. I decided to make a charm bracelet, but you could also decide to make a necklace or even an anklet. Michaels has a variety of different chains you can pick from ranging in different thicknesses and cuts. After selecting your chain, you can then begin to select your charms. You can go many different routes with your charms. You can pick charms that you think represent you or just simply ones that you think are cute. To start the bracelet, I started out with five different charms varying in size.

After picking out your chain and the charms you like, it's time to get started! To assemble your bracelet, all you will need is a small pair of pliers! To attach your charms, you will need to pry open the clasps with the pliers, which should not take much force at all. Once you open the clasp, you can put it around a link of your chain and then push the clasp back together with the pliers. It's that easy!

Once you have all your charms attached to the bracelet, you have your finished product! You can add as many or little charms to the bracelet as you choose. I decided to leave some space on mine so as I travel, I can pick up more charms!
