Fun Fall Decorations

Autumn is finally here! It’s time to break out those comfy sweaters, eat those caramel apples, and sip on that pumpkin spice latte. Many different traditions are associated with the fall season, but my favorite part is the decorating! Updating your décor is a fun way to get into the fall spirit, and the best type of decoration is one you make yourself. DIY fall crafts are inexpensive, creative, and adorable.

One easy-to-make DIY craft is called Natural Seasonal Vases. All you need is a squash, a knife, and some flowers. With your knife, cut a hole in the squash big enough to lodge a few florist tubes, and then insert flowers of your choosing. Simple!

Another cute way to incorporate fall into your decorations is to make DIY Leaf Bowls. First, gather up some beautiful colored leaves. Next, blow up a balloon as large as you would like your bowl to be. Cover the balloon with Mod Podge, and then carefully place the leaves on the balloon. Face them downward to form a dome shape. The Mod Podge will act as a glue, and eventually harden. Once dry, pop the balloon and remove it to reveal the new bowl.

The last DIY craft is called The Golden Glow. Find a small glass container and fill it with either popcorn kernels or candy corn into the container. Once the seasonal material fills up about half the container, nestle a candle in to create a fall effect.

These are just a few examples of fall decorations. There are many other examples that can be used and altered - the sky is the limit! Be creative, have fun with it, and enjoy the colorful season!
