Lots of Love for Besame Lipstick

Updated: Feb 10, 2020

My love of vintage fashion led me to love vintage makeup, too. Unfortunately, true vintage makeup is harder to find than clothes, and often isn't usable. Luckily, Besame Cosmetics is out there producing makeup based on true vintage colors and application styles! Besame makeup is all cruelty free, gluten free, and never tested on animals. Most of it is vegan as well, except for some products that use carefully-sourced beeswax. Their makeup is even reasonably priced!

I bought their mini lipstick sampler so I could test out some of their vintage colors and get a better idea of what colors looked good on me. The sample sizes are adorably small - each one is just shy of two inches tall!

First, "1930 - Noir Red." It's such a dark red that it's almost purple! It would be wonderful for a goth or witch look.

Next is "1935 - Cherry Red." This color is a deep pink-red color that's great for when a pure red just isn't what you're looking for.

Then comes "1969 - Dusty Rose," a soft grey-ish pink that works well as an everyday color.

The last color is "1970 - Chocolate Kiss." It's something of a pink-rust-brown color, and it's perfect for fall!

The sampler also came with their "1946 - Red Velvet," which I have since mislaid (did I mention how cute and tiny the sample size is?). It's a slightly brighter and less pink shade of red than the 1933 color is.

All the colors are incredible, creamy, and long lasting! You can buy directly from Besame's website, or you can find some of their products on Sephora's website.
