Five Favorite Workout 'Fits

Have you been slacking on your New Year’s Resolution to hit the gym more often? If so, these outfit ideas might give you some inspiration to get moving again. One of my favorite parts of working out is all the cute activewear! Personally, I always feel more motivated to go to the gym if I feel confident in what I’m wearing to workout.

Here are five of my favorite looks to wear when hitting the gym.

Outfit #1

This sassy graphic tank top from Kohl’s says it all and is perfect for hitting the gym! I decided to pair the tank with black running shorts and grey tennis shoes both from Nike. Running shorts are a great alternative to leggings if you don’t like working out in tight clothing. The airy, breathable fabric allows you to keep cool while still looking cute.

Outfit #2

Outfit #2 features my favorite workout leggings! I found these high waisted full-length muted green leggings by the brand Velocity at Ross Dress for Less for under $20. What a steal! I love pairing high-waisted workout leggings with crop tops like this black one from Forever 21’s activewear section. To complete this look I added some trendy, slip on sneakers from PUMA that I also found at Ross Dress for Less.

Outfit #3

My next outfit is this dark grey burnout cropped hoodie from Forever 21, a plain, black racer back sports bra, black Nike leggings with stripe detailing on the thigh and shin, and black Nike running shoes. If you’re like me and aren’t a huge fan of patterned leggings but want something a little less basic than plain black ones, I think leggings like these are a great option!

Outfit #4

Outfit 4 is one of my go-to gym looks. I love tying up oversized workout tanks like this one from Kohls and wearing them with high-waisted workout tights (these ones are from Victoria’s Secret Pink). I love the cut-out detailing at the bottom of the tights. I think it adds a little something extra to this otherwise simpler look. To top it all off I again added my black PUMA slip on sneakers.

Outfit #5

The final fit features a blush pink tank top with braided detailing on the back by Betsy Johnson from Ross Dress for Less, black Nike Pro capris from Nordstrom Rack, and black Nike running shoes. I like the contrast of light and dark colors in this outfit. I also love the braided/caged design on the back of the tank. I think this would be the perfect outfit to wear to a yoga, Pilates, or spin class!

I think each look is versatile and would be great for various forms of physical activity. I know going to the gym can be intimidating and scary at times, so hopefully these outfits gave you some inspiration and the confidence you might need to get back into the swing of things.
