Let’s be honest, almost every college student right now is in need of a restful, relaxing break. The semester has felt extra intense these days, and here at College Dress Relief, we’re all about relieving our stress. We may be a fashion club, but we are also knowledgeable about taking the stress out of college students' lives.Â
Whether you’re going away to a sunny beach or going home to your family, here are five of my favorite de-stressing activities to help any college student relax and reset over spring break.
1. Have a Slow Morning RoutineÂ
As someone who loves easing into her busy day, a slow morning is the best way to start your day on the right foot. Instead of jumping into your day or rushing somewhere, try waking up without an alarm, reading or journaling outside, making a nice breakfast, or meditating to start your day right. This will also help your nervous system reset and give your mind the peacefulness it craves.Â

2. Social Media / Screen Time DetoxÂ
Although this one may be challenging, limiting your online scrolling can save so much time in the day. Whenever I do this, I become more present and feel so much calmer without the constant distraction from my phone. I have also found that I enjoy many offline activities, such as scrapbooking, drawing, baking, and more, so you may discover something new about yourself in the process.Â

3. Practice Gentle MovementÂ
Moving in ways that you enjoy and make you feel good is one of the best feelings. On my relaxing days, just going for a walk outside does the trick and helps me feel at ease. Other activities to try include yoga, light pilates, stretching, or even an easy bike ride. Try one out, and you may find a new movement practice you enjoy.Â

4. Do a Comfort Reset NightÂ
If you have a completely free night, dedicate the evening to resetting. Have a long shower or bath, light a candle, do a face mask, and organize your thoughts through journaling or planning to leave you feeling refreshed and at peace. You’ll sleep better and wake up feeling like a new you in the morning.Â

5. Plan Something Small that Excites YouÂ
Relaxation can also come from looking forward to plans coming up. Plan something simple like trying a new coffee shop or cafe, having a movie night, shopping with friends, visiting a new restaurant, or anything you find enjoyable. This will keep your break fun without any stress and will create new, positive opportunities you can look forward to.Â

Everyone’s spring break looks different, but I know every college student can agree on how important it is to take this time to find relaxation. I hope this guide can help you reset and leave all the stress of the semester behind for one amazing, restful week!Â
