My 10 Skincare Secrets

For years I didn’t do anything extra to take care of my skin, but I have found some beauty hacks that have definitely added vibrance to my skin.

1. Drinking Water:

I recently started consuming about a gallon of water a day. Believe it or not drinking water is one of the number one hacks to clear, shiny skin. By getting this water bottle linked below, I am able to feel encouraged to stay hydrated throughout my day. I usually go through about two of these bottles in a day, they’re super cute and fun! There are so many colors to choose from!

2. Face sheet masks are your best friend:

Any face mask from a store would work fine, I recommend age defying sheet face masks. You wear them for about twenty minutes and then take them off, right away I always notice hydration in my skin!

3. Eye Gel Masks:

I personally love Tula probiotics and superfood eye masks. If you struggle with dark circles or just want to prevent wrinkles at a young age, it’s never too early to start. You wear these fun hydrogel eye masks for about twenty minutes as well. They’re super cool looking and have an iridescent look to them! Thanks to Tula, “eye,” do feel amazing.

4. Aztec Healing Clay:

Not only is Aztec healing clay a great face detox mask but it’s also an armpit detox mask, say whaaaaat? Yes, you heard me right. At most stores and online you can purchase this clay and alongside that I recommend buying apple cider vinegar to mix it with vs. water. These masks dry up in about 10-15 minutes and then you can wash them off. It’s important to detox your face at least once every two weeks. As far as armpits go it’s a great way to detox deodorant because a lot of deodorant has aluminum in it.

5. Nighttime Skincare Routine:

It is beyond important to take care of your skin before you go to bed. Making sure all of your makeup is off and then continuing into a routine. I am someone who struggles with dry skin especially during the winter. I have been using Arbonne’s bio hydra set every night because it adds glow to my skin while keeping me super moisturized! There are so many great skin care routines for at night this one just happens to be mine!

6. Shower Tip:

When you shower especially in the winter your skin might get super dry after being in extreme heat. If you’re like me and shower on the warmest setting (oops.) If you shower in extreme heat the whole time make sure before you step out to blast your face with cold water just once before you’re done to tighten up your pores, and prevent your skin from drying out!

7. Cutting out dairy:

You don’t have to go to the extreme of completely cutting out dairy, but I have found my skin is so much less broken out when I am not consuming it. If you feel like you have tried absolutely everything to get rid of that stubborn acne maybe cut out dairy for a week, and see if things clear up.

8. Your diet matters:

What we eat not only affects our gut health but also our skin’s health. I make sure to consume lots of avocados, nuts, broccoli, fruit, and other superfoods that are sure to make my skin shine.

9. Vitamin consumption:

Daily vitamins add vibrance and prevent aging in our skin. Vitamins are known to give us important nutrients and things our body craves. If you haven’t started on a multivitamin, or hair, skin, and nails vitamins now would be a great time to give your body what it wants!

10. Sleep:

Getting enough sleep is absolutely necessary in order to keep your skin healthy and happy. Not only will it help eliminate dark circles under your eyes, but it will give your body time to recover and take care of itself while you rest.
