This winter was a rough one for me personally, but now that Spring is officially here, I had to find some different ways for me to shake the winter blues. I know that this feeling can be a pretty common feeling this time of year, so I wanted to share some of my tips and tricks for welcoming the season change.
1. Let the Sun in!
The sun is out and shinning, let it shine on you. The winter months are dark and dreary and the sun being out is really going to help your mood. Vitamin D makes all the difference, so don’t be shy to open the shades and crack the window while you’re working inside.
2. Take Time for a Break
We’ve been inside for nearly a year because of COVID-19. Our offices are our bedrooms and there is no work life balance. Force yourself to get out! Try going somewhere new for lunch, go on a long walk, go a little farther than normal for your daily coffee. Whatever you do, don’t be in front of a screen, do something you love.
3. Spruce Up Your Space
Spring cleaning is no joke! Now is the time to get rid of clothes you don’t wear, things you don’t need, and just a general deep cleaning. I also use this time to rearrange my room and help just make things feel more open and newer.
It’s a new season, a new chance to be better than you were yesterday. This is the time to just start doing what you love, force yourself to get outside of your comfort zone and enjoy the sun!
